Client: Had to uninstall due to relentless popups

No matter how many times I hit snooze, everyday I wake up Im greeted with a damn popup.

same message saying to update, there is only update now and snooze option available, i prefer to update all my apps at once at certain time periods. yet it still kept asking. but due to your quick reply and care to this issue. I am already feeling reassured. If this is fixed I will definitely go with keybase again in the future as everything else has been highly satisfactory

Snooze duration is implemented on the server side and is for 24 hours, isn't it @maxtaco ? We update desktop every 2-3 weeks or so and offer the option for most of those to proceed silently/automatically - not quite as gracefully as, say, Chrome, but fairly quietly. The alternative means intentionally running a version that is out of date, which we don't encourage.

well possibly provide a checkbox that says ("remind me never, I agree that this could lead to disaster") or something along those lines. The alternative is people uninstalling your app, which may or may not matter to you as long as people are up to date and that is entirely understandable from a dev point of view. just stating what I have had to do as well as a few friends whom i work with.

OK well if you really want to never update again, just kill + rename %localappdata%\Keybase\upd.exe - totally unsupported configuration, of course. To update in the future, run upd.exe check (or whatever you renamed it to).
