Should I manage release of chectl in the future?
@tolusha if you are comfortable with it you can release it even this time
@nickboldt why have you checked devfile-registry / machine-exec bits if those have not been released yet ?

what about the operator ? @tolusha Would you like us to sync and proceed to knowledge transfer about the operator release ?
@davidfestal sure

@davidfestal @tolusha would be great if you could also take care of the RELEASE.md for operator as part of the KT - https://github.com/eclipse/che/issues/15506 ;-)
@nickboldt I changed the owner of the devfile-registry since you have already started the release process for this component

I was also thinking that writing the Release.md file together with @tolusha could be a way to transfer operator release knowledge.

Yep, sounds good @ibuziuk. You wanted me to own one, and now I have two. :D #exceedExpectations :D
And good point about the checkbox for the actual released bits. it's in progress in https://ci.centos.org/job/devtools-che-devfile-registry-release/33/console now.
BTW for plugin reg, Eric or Sopot might take that one over for next time.
so what's the status for che, che-operator and chectl? Release day was Wed, ... and now it's almost Friday. :( Does it normally take this long to churn out a release?
As for now there is Eclipse Che release branch 7.7.x created, as well as next images:
Plus bunch of plugin images, including:
E2E tests execution against Eclipse Che pre-release 7.7.0.RC, eclipse/che-operator:nightly and chectl:next didn't show critical/blocker issues:
Next step is to release next artifacts:
@nickboldt, as usually we did it in one day or day with half, but at the moment a lot of PTO and holidays
@ibuziuk
I can start releasing chectl accordingly to the RELEASE.md or should I wait for something?
@tolusha :+1: for starting the chectl
chectl has been released.
7.7.0 binaries are available in the stable channel.
