Cataclysm-dda: Terrifying tweek

I would like a feature that the Terrifying trait can be nullified by large-coverage face masks or can be toggled, too many npcs i encountered get scared before i even have the chance to talk to them.

I like the idea of having masks/clothing impact NPC opinions, for good or bad.

The Terrifying trait is supposed to scare NPCs. That's what it's for.

At the cost of complete distrust of said NPC.

We get a little of this with the FANCY clothing tag, but that's about it. (EDIT: Or at least, I thought so, but it looks like I might have been wrong about that.)

It might be worth considering expanding this into a more multifaceted system of what the clothing might imply about a person, and have NPCs react differently to each according to their class:

  • POSH (some formal clothing)
  • PROFESSIONAL (some other formal clothing)
  • LAWFUL (firefighter, police, etc)
  • UNLAWFUL (hockey mask, rioter mask, etc)
  • QUIRKY (corset, leather collar, etc)
  • FUNNY (fur cat ears and tail, anything made of faux fur)
  • SCARY (may overlap with UNLAWFUL, but not exclusively; there could probably be both UNLAWFUL FUNNY and LAWFUL SCARY garments)

If so, I hope I can make a demon mask
