For example, in this screenshot, I can see that there's a sewer running west-east just south of the basement I'm in, another basement one overmap tile to the west and two tiles south, and another basement two tiles east/three tiles south. I can also tell that the latter basement is a grow-op from the colour of some of the tiles.

And I take it that an Architect's Cube with Full Night Vision would confirm that information?
Full Night Vision only lets me barely see the sewer. But yes, there's a sewer and a grow-op there.

Oh, and the relevant bit of the revealed map.

OK, so it does. Nice issue you've got there. Probably a Bug, but I'm open to it being Weird, too. ;-)
I tend to aim high. I'll settle for fixing spelling, but I'm really looking for the big game-breaking bugs. Like using vehicle trunks to duplicate item stacks, or alcohol withdrawal induced remote viewing.
I don't know how much of a bug this is. While it gives you Clairvoyance if you are underground, you don't really get anything useful from it while you are above ground. And I dont think hallucinations would look very tripy at all if you limit the random glyph spawning to only the places your eyes can see.
I vote for labeling it as a feature instead
You can use it to locate lab finales; their floor is a different colour, so they're easy to pick out. Just take some pink tablets or magic mushrooms with you when you go lab-diving.
I like this bug and vote that it stays unchanged.
Wisdom in madness (even if temporarily induced via chemicals) and all that.
Voting to keep it in.
While it's a funny bug (and probably isn't exactly a priority) it's still a _bug_, my vote goes towards eventually removing it, but no hurry for the moment.
My thought is (low priority) fix in a way that leaves it activatable for
e.g. "clairvoyant hallucinations" that some special drug might give. Win
win?
Can anyone confirm if this still an issue?
The whole effect causing this was removed so it鈥檚 no longer an issue
