Description

Brave has a "sepia" color tone on linux. Reproducible on elementary OS 0.4.1 Loki.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open brave and firefox (or other browser) on youtube, for example. Any site with vivid colors will work.

Actual result:

Expected result:

Reproduces how often:
All the time.

@srirambv The issue reproduces on both extended and single display. @btlechowski In ubuntu I have tested like a year ago, I'm not sure but I think that was the 16.04LTS.
Today viewing the settings, I changed something that fixed the issue on browser restart. I will investigate and add more info soon.

@woitechen I believe this issue is a duplicate of https://github.com/brave/browser-laptop/issues/12059 (which was closed due to unable to reproduce)

There, a user suggests a flag you can disable to get the correct color. Can you please try launching Brave from the command line with this extra flag?
--force-color-profile=srgb

If that works, please let us know 😄 Because if so, we can add something to our wiki and find related issues / close them out too.

@bsclifton Unfortunately, the issue on my browser disappeared from a second to another, without I do nothing. Today, I did a clean elementaryos install, reproducing the same steps that I take yesterday (when I installed brave + elementaryos), but, even trying with all the possible settings combinations, I couldn't reproduce the issue again. I tested with the flag that you mentioned, but nothing has changed. For lack of information, I'm gonna close this issue for now. Thank you for you time.
