Here's one more scenarios, user is facing issue with Copy/paste on Windows 10 x64- Brave version 0.59.35

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open a Google Spreadsheet in one tab (let’s call it tab A)
  2. Open another Google Spreadsheet in another tab (let’s call it tab B)
  3. Select a range of 3 cells in tab A and press Ctrl+C
  4. Select one cell in tab B and press Ctrl+C
  5. Go to tab A and press Ctrl+Shift+V

Actual Result:
The pasted text is the copied from tab A in step 3

Expected result:
Should paste the last copied data, which was from tab B

Same problem here.

Brave: Versão 0.68.142 Chromium: 77.0.3865.90 (Versão oficial) 64 bits

I stopped using Brave because of this issue.

I have observed a – I think – related phenomenon on Windows 10, Brave Version 0.63.48 Chromium: 74.0.3729.108 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Copy some cells from a LibreOffice Calc sheet
  2. Try to paste it without formatting by pressing Ctrl + Shift + V (no luck)
  3. Try to paste it without formatting by using the menu: Edit --> Paste special --> Paste values only (no luck)

What happens: nothing gets pasted.

Expected: the content to be pasted without formatting.

I stopped using Brave because of this issue.

More than 1 year later and still not solved - is somebody working on that?

This is working great for me on Windows - @srirambv @GeetaSarvadnya is this still an issue?

We'd definitely like to solve- but in order to debug, we need to be able to reproduce the problem (so we can troubleshoot). I'm not seeing a way to do that unfortunately. Even before, this was labelled as intermittent-issued, meaning it doesn't always happen

I tried both the copy/paste image and also the Google Sheets copy/paste and both worked as expected

Having this issue still with Linux Mint 20 (5.4.0-42-generic), Brave 1.11.97 Chromium: 84.0.4147.89.

Ctrl+Shift+V doesn't paste anything in Google Sheets.

Seeing this in chrome 85, if that has any relevance

I am encountering this issue on both of my Ubuntu laptops. Both running Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS and the latest version of Brave.
Copying images on Brave does not work and will make any app I paste into unresponsive. Works on Chrome so not an issue with laptop itself.

Unfortunately this a deal breaker so will have to move off Brave. I hope it gets resolved eventually.

I'm having the same issue as the comment above on ubuntu. Any image I copy on Brave browser makes other apps unresponsive when pasting. Works fine on windows though.

From time to time, I still have the same issue with Brave 86.1.15.75 on Mac os 10.14.6.

Can confirm issue on Arch linux running on wayland:

5.9.8-arch1-1
brave-nightly-bin 1.19.10-1

Exec options on .desktop file:
Exec=/usr/bin/brave-nightly --enable-features=UseOzonePlatform --ozone-platform=wayland %U
