Brave-browser: Blinking artifacts next to cursor in Facebook text field

Description

Text field shows graphical artifacts next to cursor on Facebook, blinking instead of the cursor.

Steps to Reproduce

Go to Facebook.com
Click in a reply text field after a post

Actual result:

The area to the right of the cursor blinks with a big red rectangle or with some stray bits of graphics from somewhere else (I recognized the top half of the name of a person I'd been chatting with).

Expected result:

Empty white text box.

Reproduces how often:

Intermittent. Not clear if it happens on other sites besides Facebook but I haven't seen it.

Brave version (chrome://version info)

Brave | 0.55.5 Chromium: 70.0.3538.16 (Official Build) dev (64-bit)

Reproducible on current release:

Yes, but I don't see it all the time. Not sure what triggers it but I've seen it at least 4 times.

Website problems only:

Is the issue reproducible on the latest version of Chrome? I haven't seen it on Chrome.

Went through verification using the following build under macOS 10.13.6 x64 - PASSED
