Boostnote: Editor inserts two asterisks when typing one

Current behavior

When you're editing a note and add an asterisk two asterisks automatically appear and place your cursor in the middle of them.

Expected behavior

When you're editing a note and add an asterisk one asterisk should appear.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Make a new or use an existing note
  2. Click on the editor
  3. Type an asterisk

Environment

  • Version : 0.11.8
  • OS Version and name : Sierra 10.13.16 - Mac

Hmm... I think we should make the behavior optional.

It should be bad for someone who is using * for making a list.

I have same issue. It's counterproductive when trying to make lists.

Wanted to note that this also happens with $, which is a problem when doing string interpolation in template literals (JS).
