Doesn't work on Catalina.
Shows error message saying software needs to be updated.

Open application.
That's a security feature of macOS.
Here is a tutorial on how to allow Boost Note https://www.macworld.co.uk/how-to/mac-software/mac-app-unidentified-developer-3669596/
I would not recommend to allow Apps from Anywhere, just the apps you want to run.
You are right. I should've known. Thanks.
Will this be resolved any time soon? I know i can just change what macos thinks of the app, but I'd really appreciate if you guys could get apple to acknowledge this application and you as approved developers.
Just wondering...
Thanks
@MihaelBercic Can you try using the latest installer? Then this issue should not be occurring.

If you do get this error, please post a screenshot in this thread, and any other info you might have. Then we will reopen this issue.
_For me, it threw the same error. This is from the boost-note-mac.dmg ..._

Hello,
Also on Catalina - I tried the latest installer (0.41) and got the same message as @rohan-git .
Because this is not an "unidentified developer" I get no option to run this app in "Security & Privacy".
Any suggestions for a workaround, or if you could re-open the issue would be great, thanks!

Works fine on macOS Catalina v10.15.5 - just go to Security & Privacy and click on "Open Anyway" on the general tab.
Opening from zip file does not work try dmg and then open anyway on catalina.
@LiliyaStefanova @rohan-git Does the above solution solve your problem?
