Bookplayer: Support for CarPlay

Apple was kind enough to allow us to develop for CarPlay so we should try to make this happen.

I can only test the wired version so anybody with wireless CarPlay is welcome to a test run.

I should have filed the ticket before working on this based on the card in the Roadmap. Doh.
@adrum do you have your own CarPlay entitlement to test this? Having more testers for this is very useful.

I'm done with the browsing situation but the playback requires a bigger refactoring to keep the autoplay feature intact. Which is code I wrote and put into the wrong place so I'll have to do it anyway. 😀

@pichfl I can track down a vehicle with CarPlay for testing, just let me know when it's ready. I only looked at it over the course of evening, but I think I recall I can just fake the entitlement for debugging purposes.

@adrum I'm working on the autoplay / queuing of files from CarPlay right now.

Your code was helpful in understanding a few bits of the API and I grabbed one or two refactorings from it as well. Thanks a lot!

Could you try to dig up what you did to fake the entitlement? I'm pretty sure this would be useful to people who want to work on the app once CarPlay is included and we should prepare a Wiki page describing the steps to get started with development.

I'm glad my code was of some use!

I believe the faked entitlement is the playable content key found near the end of this file:

https://github.com/adrum/BookPlayer/blob/43e4931924e18437ae8b11488cb8dc3c54cd91e1/BookPlayer/BookPlayer.entitlements

I can test on a live device, I have Carplay in my vehicle and can contribute if there is need

Do you have wireless CarPlay by any chance? I sat in my car and did some testing with the USB option, but having the other way tested would be good.

I was nearly done with this but I started a refactoring after some discussion with @GianniCarlo to finally clean up how files are loaded into the player.

You can try to run the feature/carplay branch, it should be building.

I see this got pushed out, do you need testing of this to move it forward? I see the comment that the branch is building, I am happy to try to build and test.

@MrTechGadget Do you have a car with wireless CarPlay or with a touch screen? If either: yes, having another tester would be nice, my car has neither.

The work I did in the current branch is far from battle tested as switched back to the design side of the project, but I may have time to tackle this again soon.

Touch screen, yes. wireless, no (not many do).
Ok, I’ll try to get it built over the next week and start testing.
