Blockscout: Read smart contract Wei to Ether conversion button

Created on 15 Jul 2018  路  23Comments  路  Source: blockscout/blockscout

While reading smart contracts it would a user should be able to convert wei to eth with a click of a button for a better understanding of values. Parity offers this type of functionality on their wallets.

Here is an example:

In Ether

In Wei

Steps

  1. Verify smart contract
  2. Navigate to the read smart contract tab.
  3. Input a value that will return a wei value
  4. When a wei value appears, a button should appear next to the value to switch to ether conversion.

@acravenho sorry I should have asked earlier, but how does one verify a smart contract? Is there a test smart contract I can use to test too, thanks 馃檪

Ok i've figured it out how to verify a contract from the code, but still need a some sample contracts i can use to test, kindly provide them. Thanks 馃檪

@acravenho thanks 馃憤

@acravenho i'm getting a page not found error when i search for the above address 馃憞

pnf

Kindly assist on how to sort this, thanks

You're running locally so you need to let the indexer get to that block number and index that contract. Otherwise, you can deploy the same contract to an address you own on sokol.

Never mind, its been indexed 馃檪 thanks for the pointer

@acravenho must the conversion toggle button match the above design? And also will the conversion be only for totalSupply or i do it for balanceOf and allowance too?

We would prefer it to match the color schema that is designed for the chain. Our designers can take a quick look once you have a PR open. The above was a picture of the Parity UI which doesn't share a similar design theme.
@mul1sh

ok thanks
