Azure-docs: Disable getting alerted when a metric alert is marked as resolved by Azure?

Created on 25 Mar 2020  Â·  3Comments  Â·  Source: MicrosoftDocs/azure-docs

Metric alerts also generate an alert, for us an email, when metric alert is resolved/ threshold is not met anymore.

Is there any way to disable getting these alerts? For Automation Account runbooks for instance, it makes no sense getting a "resolved" alert as the runbook/ job that failed still failed while future runbooks/ jobs might not.

Hi @o-l-a-v
You can leverage Action Rules to suppress notifications when alerts are resolved. Simply set the relevant scope (which can be a specific resource, a resource group or even a subscription) and a filter for "Monitor Condition" equals "Resolved".

@harelbr Thank you for helping on this.
