In this document you refer to adding .AddPushNotifications()
In Visual Studio this is highlighted with the following text "Use App Service Push instead."
Most of your documentation regarding the correct way to integrate push notifications is confusing and out of date.
You need to sort this out, I have been going round in circles trying to implement this feature!

Hi @ianpowell2017, as our product strategy evolves we have got some outdated docs that need work; these mobile docs are on the backlog to update.
Depending on your use case, App Center Push might be appropriate for your app?
Thanks for the feedback. We hope to have these docs updated soon.
Your outdated documentation is a serious setback. I can only imagine how many developers turn away from Xamarin as whole because they are endlessly frustrated by old, outdated and frankly pathetic documentation. I totally agree with @ianpowell2017!
Thanks both for your feedback. As the SDK suggests, and mentioned above, App Center or Notification Hubs might be a better choice for your app. We're working to make the options clearer in the products & documentation.
