Azure-docs: 8TB VHD

“We only support VHD uploads of up to 8 TiB.”
Azure currently does not support vhdx and vhd does not support >2TB volumes. Clearly I am missing something. I’m unsure if there is a way to create an 8TB VHD outside of azure, upload it as a page blob and mount it as an unmanaged disk or somehow convert it to a managed disk.

@sumptersmartt Thanks for reaching out, I'll do my best to help clarify: Expandable and differencing VHDs have the 2TiB limit. Fixed VHDs do not. https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd323654(VS.85).aspx
