@snmn, Thanks for pointing this out! We're aware that Google is deprecating GCM and migrating everyone to FCM. We're already working on docs refresh and will publish them as soon as the doc update is done. First doc went into production a few days ago and the next two should get worked soon.

@kirthiroyadu sorry about that, I just decided to close the open issues rather than just keep them open. We're knee deep in refreshing the SDK and the docs, so there's no way this work isn't being completed. Right now, Notification Hubs doesn't care about the two services, we handle everything under the covers, as soon as the SDK refresh happens (which should be soon) then you'll be good.

@snmn @kirthiroyadu The Android SDK got a recent refresh, moved to its own repository. All the Android samples were moved to the SDK repo, refreshed and tested. We even added a new complete sample (and associated tutorial in the docs). We even restructured the tutorials so all the Android tutorials are grouped together for easier reading.
