Do we know when App Services will have the ability to send Diagnostic Data directly to Application Insights? Currently - this data is stored in XML on disk or blob storage.

Seems like there is interest in this feature in azure feedback - app log, server logs, httperr logs, etc should be easy to query.

@alohaninja Thank you for the valuable feedback,we are investigating the issue.

@alohaninja As far as I know, there are no immediate plans for App services to support sending Diagnostic data directly to Application Insights but this is very valuable feedback for the App services engineering team. If this is a scenario that you would very much like to see, please share your feedback directly with the App Services team via the this link.

We will now close this issue. If there are further questions regarding this matter, please reopen it and we will gladly continue the discussion.

@femsulu - confirming that IIS app logs (AppServiceHTTPLogs) are now available _in preview_ directly piping into Azure Log Analytics - we are still waiting on server logs and httperr logs - looking forward to making this data easily queryable for Azure Webapp users. Great progress! 💯
