It would be very nice to have an advanced section here to handle requirements such as ILB certificate. There seem to be strict requirements on this configuration construct.

It would be great to have deeper guidance on this topic. Absent of guidance, we are discovering limitations in how an ASE can be configured when it comes to Azure Functions and trying to leverage path based routing with an Application Gateway.

ASE has been changed so that new ILB ASEs no longer need customers to set the default certificate. the doc on certs was updated: https://github.com/ccompy/azure-docs-pr/blob/sept27/articles/app-service/environment/certificates.md

ccompy is there any latest documentation on steps to Setup Application Gateway for Azure App Service Environment ILB with new configurations which does not require a certificate.
