"microsoft/windowsazure" is not for Azure storage, need microsoft/azure-storage-xxx
If you install the SDK via Composer using the following composer.json,
{
"require": {
"microsoft/windowsazure": "^0.5"
}
}
You'll notice this warning message:
"Package microsoft/azure-storage is abandoned, you should avoid using it. Use microsoft/azure-storage-blob, microsoft/azure-storage-table, microsoft/azure-storage-queue, microsoft/azure-storage-file instead."
These are documented here - https://github.com/Azure/azure-storage-php

@linitram Thanks for the feedback! We are currently investigating and will update you shortly.
@erickson-doug I am unable to locate @allclark in the assignee field. It appears this document is potentially out of date and I receive the same warning that the customer receives. Can you or someone on your team please take a look at the feedback and update the doc as necessary? Thank you.
If I am allowed to add here - this is happening since Months, and it seems, like nobody is ever reading the various Issues about this on the corresponding GitHub Repo, as for Example here: https://github.com/Azure/azure-sdk-for-php/issues/975
Due to the Fact, that this is still the official PHP SDK from Microsoft, it should really be emphasized, that the "official General PHP SDK" is not able to work with the "official Storage PHP SDK" - but nobody seems to care about that at all. Various Users and Developers are complaining about this really unbelievable Situation on various Places, but there is no Reaction at all from Microsoft.
Thats why I would really be happy, if you could please speed up the Fix for this and also maybe ask someone to take care of the Issues in the various GitHub Issues - it feels really abandoned over there...
Thanks a lot!

@BryanTrach-MSFT
Why direct people to something equally out of date?
https://github.com/Azure/azure-sdk-for-php
Seriously, get your act together... if people to even attempt try Azure, this is the kind of thing which forces them straight to AWS.
