Anysoftkeyboard: Error when trying to remove the word from the prediction

Created on 11 Jun 2018  ·  6Comments  ·  Source: AnySoftKeyboard/AnySoftKeyboard

I have tried to delete a proposed word from the prediction by doing the following:

I type "Si " and a space, and it shows me the following words in the prediction:

unnamed1

In Spanish as there is no word "pothead" and "denied" I left my finger pressed on the first word and without removing my finger from the screen I moved it upwards, I got what appears on the next screenshot and did not delete the word:

unnamed2

Can you please fix the problem and have your finger pressed on a word in the prediction to ask if you want to delete the word?

Same problem in English. Does anyone know if we are actually supposed to have the ability to remove words we don't add ourselves?

Wondering if this should actually be reported as a feature request instead of as a bug?

Hi!

Same problem in German: there are some words, that simply don't exist and it is not possible to remove them. This causes autocorrect not to always work as expected. Example: if I accidentally write "ib" instead of "in" it gets corrected to "IB", because this is somehow stored in the dictionary. Same problem if i accidentally write "ib" instead of "ob".

Thanks!

I have the same problem with Polish dictionary. I'm not able to remove predefined words and some suggestions are just entirely wrong (non-existing words or words with spelling mistakes are proposed) or just partially wrong (keyboards suggests existing word but there's a better match). Also there are some words that are available in predefined dictionary but are not suggested at all, unless you write them correctly, with proper diacritics.
Examples (with non-existing words):

What I type | What should be proposed | What is actually being proposed |
| :---: | :---: | :---: |
| bedzie | będzie | Bedzie |
| sa | są | SA |
| bylem | byłem | bylem |
| cie | cię | cie |
| sie | się | sie |
| robie | robię | robie |
| az | aż | AZ |
| wczesniej | wcześniej | wczesniej |
| ilez | ileż | _nothing at all_ |
| sprawdze | sprawdzę | _nothing at all_ |

Examples (the proposed word exists but there's a better match):

What I type | What should be proposed | What is actually being proposed |
| :---: | :---: | :---: |
| tez | też | tez |
| kupe | kupę | kulę |
| irytuja | irytują | krytyka |
| uzywam | używam | używał |

When I swipe the word "hello" the word "Helloooooo" is entered by default and I cannot remove it, same "Removed: Removed: Removed: Removed: Removed: Helloooooo" message as above. Makes the app very painful to use.

Edited to add that I have only just installed the app, on a new phone so it's not from my history.

I still have this bug whit the french keyboard.

Sometimes I miss click my E with a D, so when I want to type «Le» it become «LD» and I can't remove "LD" because it spam "Retiré : Retiré : Retiré : Retiré : Retiré : Retiré : Retiré : Retiré : Retiré : Retiré : ".
It's sad because "Le" is just next to "LD" so the auto correct would be right if I could delete it.

I have the same issue with the French keyboard, didn't test with the English keyboard.

Info:

Nokia 7.2 running Android 9 (kernel = 4.4.153-perf+) with keyboard "FR - Azerty".

Steps

  1. Writing "ca" and expecting the keyboard to autocorrect "ça". 1st suggestion = "cA" which I don't want.

  1. Trying to remove this bad suggestion by holding it and sliding it up, spams "Removed: " in the suggestion bar but if I repeat the bad suggestion is still here.
