Feature description

I have many podcasts subscribed, then I went away from listening to podcasts for a while, now I'm interested again but I feel overloaded, but I don't want to just delete many podcasts yet because I need time to see how I feel about each one now. But I would like to "hide" many from the top of the list/queue for a while, and just have one or three coming into the queue at a time, re-enabling them in small batches.

If there could be some option in the press-hold menu for each podcast to 'Disable' that podcast, meaning the podcast would go to the bottom of the list and look dimmed, and any of its episodes are removed from the queue at that point.

I'm going to avoid bothering going through a few hundred podcasts and disabling 'keep updated' for now.

That will be easier once #4681 is implemented :)

1711 could be a solution for this. With folder support, you can just move the disabled subscriptions to a folder and forget about them. The implementation of folder support was started but needs some more work and is looking for contributors

In the meantime you could also change the 'keep updated' setting of individual podcasts. That way they're not refreshed and you avoid getting new episodes in the queue.

Given that there's a work-around already and that a proper solution will hopefully come with the introduction of tags, is it ok @mxmilkiib if we close this one? That way we can help maintain focus in the development of the app. Please let us know - thanks!

I think it's probably more #2648 as this relates to avoiding adding podcasts to a queue, and that can be done by avoiding the main queue by having multiple queues, which is something more than the apparent just folder tag grouping thrust of #1711. Thanks, but I'm going to avoid bothering going through a few hundred podcasts and disabling 'keep updated' for now.
