I have tried to use AdGuard to unclutter the self-promoting sections of Reddit. However, reddit has taken extreme measures to block adguard in its entirety. One cannot focus on any element whatsoever. What one gets is the blue flash symbol and that's it.

This answer provides zero help. In the same spirit one could also say that it isn't recommended to go near electricity because electricity is dangerous but then again, I have to open the circuit panel in order to reset the breaker, don't I?

The whole purpose of reporting this is here is that Reddit serves as one of the most egregious examples of a website that has successfully thwarted efforts by adblockers. Yahoo News is another that comes to mind as is Amazon.com. Of all the adblocking solutions out there, Adguard holds the most promise in defeating these sshles precisely because of it's fine level of control. So consider this as much as a report as it is a plea to the AdGuard developers to save us from such bad website behavior.

One would presume that there are many like-minded AdGuard users who use AdGuard as much for it's utility in thwarting those website developers who try to herd viewer experiences like sheep or visitors at Disney World ;). I'm sure I am not alone in feeling the need to rebel against such overt control of my browsing experience imposed by websites.
