Is your enhancement related to a problem?
Right now if you are using ace with TFAR, and you put on a helicopter helmet or get into a vehicle it lowers the sound of the radio. But logically that would not happen in real life.
Solution you'd like:
I would like an option in ace for earplugs not to affect the TFAR global variable. The main goal would be for "earplugs" not to affect radio volume since the TFAR radio works via a "headset" (In TFAR 1.0 you can lower and raise the headset).
Alternatives you've considered:
I asked Dedmen (the developer of TFAR), to have an option to separate the TFAR radio volume from the TFAR global volume variable.
Additional context:
I could make a video of the "issue" if need be.
Volume should be low with earplugs or in unconscious state.
@BaerMitUmlaut thank you for renaming of the title!
@severgun for sure.
Radio chatter should not be lowered when wearing a vanilla hearing protection headset, either.
Ah right, it also shouldn't be lowered if inside a vehicle.
