At the moment, streams are simply introduced with a message from Notification Bot: Stream created by <user>. It would be nice to also have a message that gives the description of the stream, if it exists, to explain what the stream is for if the name isn't entirely explanatory.
Hello @zulip/server-streams members, this issue was labeled with the "area: stream settings" label, so you may want to check it out!
This seems like a reasonable request to me, and it ties in to the bigger issue that we almost never expose the stream description in an easy-to-access way.

We used to do this, and then removed it, because stream descriptions are editable and it's confusing to see the original stream description listed.
The right UX solution here is to provide the stream description in our top navbar, which is planned.
So I'm going to close this as wontfix until we've addressed that and users can experience that, which I'm hoping to focus on merging this week.
