Ytmdesktop: feedback on YTMDesktop Remote

"Bugs"

• The current time of playing in the seekbar is tied to the respond of the API and not the true clock so it's laggy because of wifi latency (I thought of maybe just asking once to the API the seekbarCurrentPositionHuman and checking if it is paused and then rechecking the API for the seekbarCurrentPositionHuman)

• If the title exceeds the size it slides but there is no space between the start and the finish so it's harder to read and to know where is the start and the finish of the title

the next one I haven't been able to recreate it so maybe just a restart of the app has fixed it

• The small player on top when in the queue or lyrics page has some time before appearing (I think it waits for the end of everything to load because it is way faster in the lyrics tab then in the queue tab)

• More a bug in the app but you don't get the right lyrics most of the times (one time I got the ameno lyrics on a chill compilation(and I never played ameno before) and when I reload the page I got a 50/50 between the right lyrics and the ameno's)

Feature request to the app

• I don't know if it's a bug or a feature request (because it is possible in the API). Being able to click in the queue to a sound (just the player-set-queue with the index of the music in the queue)

• Being able to slide on the cover to skip tracks

• Volume control (because it is in the API)

• adding song by sharing on the Youtube app (I don't think it is possible with the current API) (I got for reference the way NewPipe handle it

I know it is a lot of stuff but hope you could make some.

I love this app and all the updates going on please continue that great work.

Correct, it updates every 600ms, but for now it is like this because implementing it this way would take more time and I would be out of my time ,. Do you think it is necessary? because I don't see the need to be in real time, since it will be used more to change music or add to the library and playlist, but I can study how to improve it.

It's an animation, as you go up the panel, it appears slowly, but the animation is not cool, I'm trying to correct it.

Unfortunately it is a problem with the lyrics provider, KSOFT is not very accurate and sometimes delivers the wrong lyrics, I am already evaluating other providers to add.

It is something I was already considering doing after YTMusic also implemented, but my priority was to improve the performance and UI, but rest assured that I will implement this.

If you touch the cover image once, the share buttons will appear, add to the library, add to the playlist and the volume buttons, to control the volume, you can also use the volume buttons on your phone, but for a bug it doesn't capture and modify only in the app, it uses globally and will modify the volume of the app and the smartphone.

I don't think it is necessary for now but for the future for having a nicer looking app.

Another suggestion for the Remote: Make a notification for the notification area while the Remote is running so that tracks can be skipped, etc, from the notification area rather than having to open up the app.

Very impressive overall though!
