Yarn: Installation Problem: Yarn package not found on Chocolatey

Created on 11 Oct 2016  路  5Comments  路  Source: yarnpkg/yarn

Which operating system are you using: Windows 10

Please describe the steps you took when trying to install Yarn and what went wrong:

  1. Attempt to install yarn from Chocolatey w/ choco install yarn
  2. Observe there are no yarn packages found in the default source repo: Source(s): "https://chocolatey.org/api/v2/"
  3. Also, not seen in package search in web explorer, on prerelease or stable channels: https://chocolatey.org/packages?q=tag%3Ayarn&moderatorQueue=&prerelease=true&sortOrder=relevance

Using the .msi for now. Cheers : )

I updated the site to just say "A Chocolatey package is coming soon" - I'll revert that once the package is approved.

I noticed in a contributor comment in #626 that the choco package is still under review. I don't know the timeline for that, but if it's longer than a few days is it worth mentioning that in the docs? I'd be happy to make the change.

Sorry about that, I thought Chocolatey's approval would be quicker 馃槃
Can you see the package if you go to https://chocolatey.org/packages/yarn/0.15.0? It's currently awaiting moderation.

Aha, yeah, _now_ it shows up in the moderator queue search and I can see it from your direct link.

Thanks a lot! Awesome work, team. We already switched to yarn from uncached npm and shaved our build times by a third! Cheers : D

It's approved! https://chocolatey.org/packages/yarn/0.15.0 馃帀馃帀馃帀
