Xdrip: OnePlus 6 and xDrip with MiaoMiao 2 - signal missed at night time

Throughout the day my miaomiao stays connected to xDrip and has no problems. I have a OnePlus 6 and Oxygen OS 10.3.3. A few hours into the night / being asleep, it seems to stop receiving data, it shows 'Signal Missed' and when I BT scan and click to reconnect to the miaomiao it does not reconnect, to solve the issue I have to reset the miaomiao. I had the same issues with the Tomato app each night it would lose signal with the miaomiao and would not reconnect until I restarted my phone and reset the miaomiao. One of the main reasons I had purchased this was for night time hypos so I need it to work overnight. Does anyone know what the issue could be? Is it something with my OP6 that with a few hours of inactivity it disconnects from BT? Unsure why I need to reset it every time to reconnect when this happens too?

I have an OP5, I am having issues at night too. I just found a setting that might help. OP devices can turn off connectivity at night. I've just turned it off so tonight I'll see if it works.

Try this:
Settings: battery: battery optimization: three dots: advanced optimization: turn off sleep standby optimization.

I've exactly the same issue with a Dexcom G6 and my OnePlus 7 Pro. Tonight I'll try @Syntheist suggestion.
