Wpf: Source to WPF Surface SDK?

Created on 7 Dec 2018  路  4Comments  路  Source: dotnet/wpf

Any chance the WPF Surface SDK source could be put up as well? For WPF work in particular, there's lots in there that is extremely useful! Some parts of the Surface SDK might also be handy for UWP once ported.

Please do not close the status of the WPF Surface 2.0 SDK source code. The Surface 2.0 SDK was the last significant contribution Microsoft made to WPF. It's a superb piece of work that should not be left to languish in binary form. If Microsoft isn't prepared to do the work to open source the SDK, would you please allow the community permission to reverse engineer it and publish this work on GitHub for all to benefit?

I would like to publish my reverse engineered version of the WPF Surface SDK source code. Perhaps that is a path forward for this? It's certainly way better than nothing. Can someone at Microsoft give me permission to do so with some sort of legal waver?
