@loremattei is this a new crash in 12.3? I tried searching Fabric too, but I am not sure my search was sufficient.
I'm reopening this because it's still happening in 12.7, though it looks like a handled error rather than a crash.
@planarvoid @malinajirka is this expected and we can ignore it, or something you want to investigate further?
@loremattei I think the fix doesn't remove the socket timeouts, it just ensures that the app doesn't block the ConnectionPool and can recover from the timeout. I think it should be OK if the app doesn't crash. What do you think @malinajirka ?
Yep, I agree. It's not a crash and the fact that some users are experiencing socket timeouts is expected. I think we can ignore it as long as there isn't any spike. cc @loremattei

@designsimply I don't think this should be added to the Prioritized Android column - tbh to any groundskeeping column for that matter. I'd suggested removing the "Bug" label as well. The fact that an image loading times out is kind of expected as the device might be offline or on a poor network connection. It's good to keep the issue for future reference, but I don't think we need to (can) fix anything. I think we can ignore it as long as there isn't any spike.
Sounds good! I didn't have a full understanding of the issue before.
Removed it from the Groundskeeping project and closing with a label of [Type] Question (only because each issue should have a [Type] label and nothing else seems to fit. 馃槃
Sentry issue: WORDPRESS-ANDROID-37
Noting a possible user report of this issue:
I am using the App. My profile picture is not displayed but others are.
They provided screenshots of likes below a post in the Reader and of the Profile screen in the app and their profile image appears to be the generic one when they are looking at it in the app even though we verified the Gravatar is set (checked at Gravatar.com and confirmed it's rated G) and we verified we can see the Gravatar appear normally for their username in the same post on a desktop browser and in the Reader using WPAndroid 13.7-rc-2 Android 10.

@malinajirka Am I correct in understanding that we don't need to keep track of this error? If so, could you please remove the logging from the app?
We really shouldn't have logging in Sentry for things that we don't need to be specifically aware of and we have 32K events for this.
cc @yaelirub (since this is something we have been discussing lately)
