Wire-android: Wire app prevents other applications to send audio to bluetooth headset

The problem

• I connect my bluetooth headset to my phone
• I start Spotify and listen to music
• I start the wire app and playback moves immediatly from headset to phone speakers
• The problem occurs also with other apps (phone calls, youtube, etc.)

If wire is already loaded, then the headset is never used.

Environment

• Wire version that exhibits the issue: 3.6.391
• Android OS version used to run Wire: 6.0.1
• Is this a custom firmware or a stock one: Oxygen OS is very close to vanilla Android
• Mobile phone model/manufacturer: Oneplus 2
• Mobile network type (EDGE/LTE/Wi-Fi/Offline): offline

Workaround

• launch wire
• go to android open apps view and close wire
• disable bluetooth on device and headset and reenable
• start spotify and listen
