Thanks, @janis-veinbergs - let me do some research to figure out if the ask in that thread is possible, and how or what we need to do to make sure we doc that scenario. I'll reply back here when I have some answers.

Ok, @janis-veinbergs - an update for you: right now the method described in this article is not intended to work for Windows operating systems. It's supported for iOS, Android, and Mac, not yet for Windows. We have adding this functionality to the Windows side in our backlog. I'll update the article to make that clear. Thanks!

Thanks. Because now it is crystal clear that it should work on Windows (but not those you mentioned) :)
"Applies To: Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server Technical Preview". Probably the article should have never been under windows server... Glad to know you have plans to add it to windows tho.

How is it possible that this is not fixed yet in windows? The description of this is to enrich the user experience, so I'm assuming you guys mean for all of us to move to MacOS, iOS or Android. It's laughable that the windows rdp client doesn't support this. Shame.
