User Story

as a community member, i want a gitcoin.co/results page, so I can show off that the system is working

Why Is this Needed?

Summary:
https://twitter.com/paul_ferguson/status/990819150472691713
https://twitter.com/ummjackson/status/990785869836517376

there are a lot of tweets like this, where people kind of say "this is great, but only IFF it works".

We can / should have a page thats designed to

  • Allow the community to see 'at a glance' how its working
  • Allow the community to track the same OKRs that the team does.

Stats I think are relevant:

Platform health:

  • median issue pickup time (hours)
  • issue abandonment rate
  • hourly rate distriubtion

Platform Velocity:

  • Total work done in $$ through platform
  • Open work in $$$ through platform
  • Started/Submitted work on the platform in $$$
  • Slack/Twitter community over time
  • How $$ much CodeFund is giving out

Repo Owner Traction

  • currennt number of repos with issues in progress
  • currennt number of repos with > 3 issues in progress
  • turnaround time
  • percentage of bounties that finish

Visualization of the community

  • Graph Viz
  • number alumni (ppl who have found jobs bc of gitcoin)

I'm guessing a good mix of tables & graphs ?
I like this !

Adding on :
(Once these features are up )

  • Jobs posted
  • Mentors / Mentee
  • Ideas
  • Grants

Would it make sense to drill down one level further ?

  • % of Community Funded Issues

yes i think so

nope... totally greenfield

This could utilize the MetaBase imbedded dashboard functionality we saw yesterday with @coderberry + also is related to #692 KPI Additions so the community can track OKR's alongside us easily

Hey, I put this together real quick. What do you think? I can tweak as necessary.

amazing first pass :)

top section -- can we have some sort of icon or visual for each stat?
second section looks really good
as does the third/fourth

great, i'll go ahead and claim this and start work on that revision & any other feedback thrown my way. I also think I could add some clarity to the repo pie chart in the third section.

__Work has been started__.

  1. @dmaddox

has committed to working on this project to be completed 1 week, 6 days from now.

@owocki, __please see the below comments / questions regarding approach for this ticket from the bounty hunter(s):__
- @dmaddox: 1. Update the initial pass to include icons in top section - Results_DesktopMock.png
2. Add some clarity to repo pie chart in section 3
3. Integrate any additional feedback

Here is a revision to include:

  • top section now has icons associated with each stat
  • switched 3rd section from pie graph to donut graph to hopefully add some clarity

Thoughts?

Once all revisions are done, where in the repo should I put the sketch file for the PR?
