Streamkeys do a good thing with this for example when you first intall you get redirected to this:

http://www.streamkeys.com/guide.html?installed=true

I guess this kinda stuff could be inside the extension too...

This is more relevant than ever with custom patterns now.

I wouldn't promote custom patterns much. It's not a feature for a common user. A wiki page would be nice though.

I suggest to open the page on add0n.com on first install. There're some information how to use the extension on that page, and maybe it will help people to start using the scrobbler.

Could this be also used when pushing of "significant" changes too?

Yes, that's would be great to let people know about big changes.

Or even config option:

  • [x] Display changelog after major updates

    • [ ] And after minor ones too!
