General Description

Within the "Send" tab in the Address textbox I noticed that some characters are misrepresented with a sort of a rectangle character.

How To Reproduce?

1. Within the "Send" tab, Insert one of the following characters in the Address textbox: £, ì, è, é, ò, ç, à, °, ù, §, €
2. These characters are misrepresented as seen in the screenshot below

I do not have any of those international characters on my US keyboard. For some reason, my OS is not allowing me to create an international virtual keyboard, so I cannot test your observation.

However, if I hit any of the usual special characters which, ofc would not be in a btc address, I do get the "Invalid address" warning. I'm curious if, when you enter a "mainstream" special character in the address field, e.g., & @#...do you still get the rectangles as an echo, or only the "Invalid address" warning?

No, for those characters I receive a normal warning.

The misrepresented characters I found are the ones I wrote at the beginning. Likely, that list is not exhaustive.

This is because we are using this monospace font in specific places https://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/cascadia-code and that font doesn't have glyphs for those caracteres.

We have to take into account that this field allows entering bip21 URIs. This means something like this should be allowed bitcoin:175tWpb8K1S7NmH4Zx6rewF9WQrcZv245W?amount=20.3&label=Dàvid (note the à)

@jmacato it seems we need a different font or the same font with additional glyphs.

@lontivero we need a font that has Unicode BMP in it at least.. I'll try Cascadia Mono PL since it has the necessary glyphs

To be honest both @lontivero and me were against the testing game and agreed with the condition to leave us out of it, so I'm not quite sure what's the criteria and things. However I see it's added to the "Review contribution game" milestone, which I'm not quite sure what's about. Possibly a buffer zone for not yet scored findings? @MaxHillebrand can you take the administration over from here?

It is a good catch that the font does not have special characters, but in regular usage of the wallet this is not an issue, so it's 1 point.
