The first impression of Wasabi is the History tab, which is full of tx hashes, dates and amounts. But the user first wants to see how much money he has.
Remember the tab that was open as Wasabi was shut down. Upon reboot, open wallet on this tab.
User can see how much money it has without opening any tab on the right side. I'd argue the user don't want to see its coins, but its past activity when he first logs in, which is the history tab.
I can foresee a long back and forth discussion on this non-issue so I'm closing it.
I would like to bring this issue back to attention, because it is something that bothers me every single time I open Wasabi...
The history tab is not what I am interested in when opening Wasabi. I want to see my coins that I can still spend. Every single time I click on the Send tab after opening the wallet. I don't think it has been one time that I actually looked at the history list at first.
Yes, you can see the total balance in the top right regardless which tab is open, but still, I want to see my coins.
Could others please report if they want to see the History or Send tab? I have created a twitter poll to gauge the user interest.
It is also worth considering how the upcoming multi wallet support will change the picture.
Something that would make both of us happy is to save the wallet state to the UiConfig at closing and open on the wallet on the last used tab.
Send tab.
Of course this is no exhaustive survey, but I was very surprised by the results of the twitter poll. It seems there is no clear cut answer which of the tabs is preferred to be the default...
So I would say that a good way forward is to remember which tab was opened as wasabi was shutdown. I am renaming the issue.
