Vscode: Some way to increase list of recently opened folders

• VSCode Version: 1.10.1
• OS Version: macOS (also tested on Windows)

Steps to reproduce:

1. View welcome screen.
2. Only 5 items listed under "Recent." No apparent way to increase the length of this list.

Or:

1. File -> Open Recent
2. Only 10 items listed. No apparent way to increase the length of this list. Changing the system-wide default does not seem to work on macOS.

Note: this is sort of confusing since in the source code appears to set the maximum to 100.

Have you tried "Open Recent" by default on Ctrl+R? That will open a filterable list of recent folders and files.

Didn't know that was there! Nifty, thanks. I'll use that for now. Also thanks in general for all the work you folks do on this project. It's an impressive piece of software!

I would also like to be able to see more than 10 recent entries in the "File -> Open Recent" menu. As @kethinov pointed out, it does not seem to respect the system setting on OSX.

• Either let us to override the number of recent entries in a setting, defaulted to 10.
• Or have it respect the OSX system setting as demonstrated here
