On this page - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/visualstudio/productinfo/installing-an-earlier-release-of-vs2017 - The enterprise download link for 15.8.9 downloads the community edition not the enterprise edition.
I need to get 15.9.x off my computer because it wont stay connected to our on premise TFS server for any useful period of time (TF400324 errors), but I cant download the previous version installer as mentioned above, and the VS preview has the same problem. 15.8.7 didnt have this problem, it only happened after upgrading. I can run VS for all of about 3-5 minutes before it starts shelling me with those errors, so I want 15.8 back I just need someone to fix the link so I can get a workaround going, but this has been way harder than it should be.
I left feedback on that page using the little blue feedback popup more than a week ago when I first needed it.
I contacted the vs installation support chat the same day and spoke to someone about it. They could not be any less helpful and kept trying to pass me off to the TFS team.
I've opened about a half dozen devcomm issues for the actual error and mentioned that I cant even rollback to a prior version. All Triaged, and probably will stay that way for years like other issues there.
I've opened an official product support request and have a case number, etc to resolve the actual error. Its been a week and nothing useful yet on that front. The broken download link was mentioned there as well.
This is the next best resource I can find to report this download link problem and get it corrected after the aforementioned attempts. Please fix the link and let me know when its done.
@StringyJack Thanks for letting us know. This should be fixed now. :)
