Vgstation13: lockboxes have a super easy bypass that makes them useless

Description of issue

lockboxes have been fucking useless for the longest time, and I'm starting to think I'm the only person who knows about it. if you grab a lockbox and drag it onto a table, it dumps the contents out, no problemo, even if the lockbox is locked

expected a locked lockbox not be so easily bypassed

Isn't this more of a exploit than a bug? You are exploiting a oversight to gain a advantage ingame, and it probably depends on the severity, I remember the guy who exploited gifts spawning from throwing snowballs at snowmen and he never got in trouble, most he did was get told he was a prick in ic godvoice.

let's use this as a springboard to just remove forced lockboxes and make lockboxes a printable item

Considering people still blow open lockboxes, yes, you probably ARE the only one (or at least one of a small number) who knows about this

While, strictly speaking, it is [Exploitable], lockboxes were already such a fucking joke to break open, it's barely an exploit

Maybe make guns from the protolathe have a GPS tracker in them that can be checked from a computer located in security and bridge. Unlocking with any ID prints the name of the ID to the gun, shooting open displays error so you can hunt down law breakers, and emag opened causes it to break the tracking device and displays nothing.

There, now shitters will be hunted down to the fullest extent of the law but you can open up lock boxes with any ID for blob and aliums

Complaints about the quality of lockboxes in general should probably go in another issue.

Oh no you don't, I've already been through _that_ clusterfuck enough already.

If you report a bug you are exempted from it being bannable for you, except in the case you were caught abusing it explicitly in which case you can explain it to reduce your ban. That's my personal opinion anyway, it's not like the admins give a damn.

It really also depends on the bug, this is something minor, he could have done 1000 other ways to open it. Shit like using an exploit to crash the server or to spawn admin guns is ban worthy
