Upbge: Proposal: New Website Home

Hi guys!

Our homepage is the first impression that every new user will get. So I believe thast we could do a better work on it. So, since everything is open source, I decided to try my version! :smile:

IMPORTANT: Open the site on a PC. I didn't make it adjust for mobile yet.
Note: Stored on my test website. Some of the images that I used are just for testing.

What do you think? Suggestions?

Edit: O forgot to create the News Tab and de Credits/Contact. But this is not a huge problem. I can create this in seconds.

That design really does look better, I'm about the change. Not keen on the fonts, tho, something cleaner looking would be a better choice (current ones seem a bit aliased).

I like it too....you should maybe do a call for screens...or some way to have some UPBGE 'eye candy'....and I do not mean just any screen shots but actual graphical demos'...purely created for looking good and not game play...
maybe sponsor a contest on the BA forums???

...although I am generally against this...the main complaint people have about the GE is it lack of ability to make 'good looking' games. I think this would be a good way to showcase this....

Hi, the images are very well but i would try to avoid using blender logo

Some of the images that I used are just for testing. (quote)
The images are from The Division, another game and the last one is from Armory 3D demos. All of those would preferably be replaced by UPBGE-rendered artworks.

Edit. The second one must be rendered by Uniday Studios himself in Blender, that one definitely can stay.

I am definitely not the best artist, but if this image is useful, feel free to use it in the website (this was rendered in UPBGE).

@lordloki @panzergame Hi! Sorry, I've been Afk these days. The screenshots where randomly picked from google images just to exemplify the website. So the idea is to replace with actual UPBGE screenshots (actually the truck is UPBGE. Created by me). But I'll need your help to find these images. I've thousands of screenshots of my work here that I can put, but if the community helps, it will be cool. like @adriansnetlis made! (Amazing pic).

The icons that I used I picked from my image library (frees to use). And I'm okay to you guys use the website/source that I made. Just keep the credits at the end. :) I'll try to go online on IRC tomorrow, replace the images, make some adjustments and publish the Website + Source (Adobe Muse file) on my github.

Important:

I made this using adobe Muse. So the generated sources may not be very legible. Because of this, I added a "source" folder that contains the .muse project. I still have to replace the two screenshots picked from google/armory website (first and last ones).

hi I think you must rehash the section of website to be more user friendly

in my opinion overview or blog in first position , documation , dev and download
with a specific web page for each section
