Not sure if this the best place to put this but here we go.
I wanted to have my woocommerce archives show products as cards. Of course I could have just thrown in some simple CSS but I really wanted to stick with Bootstraps grid and cards. If found an old plugin which was for bootstrap 2+3 and reworked it to support Bootstrap 4 and cards. You can find it here https://github.com/shansmith01/woocommerce-twitterbootstrap.
If there's demand to see this added natively to understrap let me know and I will have a crack at adding it (bit of a noob). Otherwise have a play with the plugin
Nice plugin.
Maybe it's a bit opinionated to include it in the theme by default, but could be a good idea for drop-in files for the theme? Just an idea :)
Ideally we could see all WooCommerce functionality as a separate drop-in for Understrap. There already exists woocommerce elements, which although fantastic, could encourage a bloated theme.
In my opinion all themes should have Woocommerce templates and functions as it makes it so much easier to get something going with it there. If it were decided that it was to be dropped for whatever reason I would guarantee a fork with Woo and all the customisation's I use in every site like ajax carts, modals for warnings/messages as well as all the BS4 template styles and other useful stuff.
But why Woo? What about Easy Digital Downloads? What about hundreds of
other plugins. The main aim of underscores/bootstrap and this project is to
keep everything lean.
If you have it modular you get all the benefits when you need Woo and a
lean theme when you don鈥檛.
Of course keep it modular, I dont remember saying the contrary!
