Undecimus: What happened to /etc/hosts?

Created on 23 Feb 2019  路  10Comments  路  Source: pwn20wndstuff/Undecimus

All modification and edit the hosts file related to ad blocking thing, DNS redirect, etc are not working. Is it due to exploit in iOS 12 or else?

Its /etc/hosts, not /etc/host.

You can edit the title of this issue to fix the typo.

The issue is still relevant. /etc/hosts entries are no longer recognised on iOS 12. Not sure if this is an issue with the Jailbreak or with iOS 12.

As a result, ocsp.apple.com might no longer blocked. Beware...

Its /etc/hosts, not /etc/host.

Revised. Thanks.

This fix doesn't seem to be part of the A12 b47/48 release.

Yes. can confirm, this works. I'm on iPhone 8, iOS 12.4 and unc0ver 3.5.5.
/etc/hosts wasn't recognised on cellular before I installed this tweak. Thank you! :)

When blocking ocp.apple.com, will that prevent new installed enterprise certs from being verfied?
