Umbraco-cms: Umbraco 8 - ContentService - SetValue DropdownList

Hi,

I think I may have found a bug when adding a node programmatically, but maybe I am not using the right function.
The bug happens when I set in a new node a dropdown list value.

I use the following code to set the value in my new node:

IContentService contentService = Services.ContentService;

var newPersonNode = contentService.Create(
                        $"{person.FirstName} {person.LastName}",
                        personContainerNode.Id,
                        "TDPerson",
                        0);
personNodeFound.SetValue("TDAxisPersonType", "Collaborateurs");

contentService.SaveAndPublish(newPersonNode);

There is no error after the SaveAndPublish.

But when I log into umbraco and go to the newly created node I get the following error:

The Umbraco 8 documentation is not finished and I am struggling to find any information about how to do this.

If you say it simple, I guess you know how to set the value of a dropdown list? Could you please tell me how?

This is a documentation issue, I also hit this problem and it does vary compared to how you would set a drop down list in V7 using the content service and the preValueId

In V8 when using the content service and setvalue you need to do JsonConvert.SerializeObject(new[] { (string) yourPreValueString });
