Tridactyl: Question: is it possible to bind Ctrl + w to delete word?
This is a habit of mine that often gets me into trouble in firefox in general,
since C-w closes a tab, I've lost many comments trying to delete the last word
as if I was in vim's insert mode.
This applies to both input fields (workaround is using vim for that with C-i)
and also the tridactyl command line.

Try to apply this patch to firefox or run this command. This will let you bind commands to <C-w> like this.

True story. Yesterday I saw this issue and thought, "Ya I want to know the answer to that too." When @glacambre answered, I followed the link thinking great, this will fix my problem too. Somewhere on the second link I started having this feeling of deja vu ... eventually I saw the usernames involved. Head meet desk.
