Traefik: Loadbalancer in swarm mode: Default and recommendation?

I'm using traefik with the docker swarm mode.

I tried to find out what the default behaviour of traefik is for the load balancing in this case. Assuming that we don't explicitly specify
traefik.backend.loadbalancer.swarm
Is the default value true or false? i.e. Will traefik by default use the docker swarm mode load balancer for docker swarm mode services?

As a side question: What is the recommended way? Is it recommended to use traefik for load balancing or to use the load balancer of the docker swarm mode - assuming that a simple round robin is sufficient?
