Anyone working on this?? If so let me know if I can help.

If not I'll try to find some time time to create a branch and start working on ZFS support :)

Cheers,
Peter

Ubuntu 20.04 on ZFS root , timeshift running in live mode

Why do you need ZFS support in Timeshift? ZFS has its own snapshots which are much better than Timeshift's ones.

Because some people want to host the backup of their non-ZFS root drives on a ZFS drive.

I would like to host the backup of my ZFS root drives on a non-ZFS drive. In other words, periodically and automatically backup my ZFS root system files to my NAS.

Yes Ihave the same type of rig with the same requirement. Popping the snapshots out to a ZFS dataset would be very useful
