Managing Resources
_Within the same institution - realised that this actually has very similar issues to that of across different institutions…_

  • Recognise the problems and issues that may be occuring FIRST
  • Can’t assume that there are similar protocol and access to resources within an institution
  • Changes/differences between different levels (researcher/PhD/Masters) need to be defined first
  • Level of access may rely on how to allocate tasks which are appropriate with the task in hand
  • Central platform for communication - need to think what you require out of it before choosing one you want to use
  • Internet connection - minimum amount of upload and download speed. If working from home, need to consider at which point an institution would contribute. Need an awareness of connection required for different tasks. Are there resources availble for after meetings - podcasts/recordings?
  • Machine set up - tasks need to be appropriate to what resources in terms of machine set-up
  • Adaquately equipted for the task in hand and their skill set up
  • Virtual machine access cloud based - easier for software issues as may be able to be installed… someone needs to be allocated in order to manage this

_Across_ different institutions - realistically same as above

-Communication Whoever is in charge/managing the project? - TBD
