Terraforming-mars: Don't hide my cards from me while opponent is choosing theirs?

Hi, I was wondering if it's intentional that I'm temporarily blocked from being able to view my cards while waiting for my opponents to finish their initial selection. I'd like to be able to think/plan. Thanks for considering!
