Termux-app: Configure what volume buttons do?

Can we configure volume buttons? F.e. I'd like to swap Ctrl with Alt so that Ctrl is volume-up rather than volume-down, and Alt will be volume-down.

Over a year later, this issue doesn't appear to have gotten any attention. I am also in need of this feature.

JuiceSSH, a very powerful SSH client/terminal emulator for Android, allows you to increase/decrease the font size by using the volume keys. This is substantially more convenient to quickly switch the font size than the pinch-to-zoom method that Termux currently requires. I am looking to have Termux behave in this same way.

As a suggestion, termux.properties could accept volume keys as a valid setting, much like back-key is currently. For instance, it could be great if these were valid settings:

vol-up = zoom-in

vol-down = zoom-out

In addition to the ctrl + xyz combinations or just standard keys.

Is this already possible by other means? Or can this be put under consideration?

Thanks!

Also a new termux user that's migrated over from JuiceSSH...

Would love to be able to customize termux.properties to set the behavior of the volume keys...

Very impressed with Termux though!
