Template10: Question: Visual Studio 2017 compatibility

I remember hearing that T10 would implement support for VS2017 once it hit RTM/RTW. Well, that has now happened. Is there any ETA on support?

I think he did say something to that effect but I think it was also to coincide with a major source drop on to the repository as well due to some changes coming with CU #soon

I don’t think he can release even a preview of T10.2. It’s still very much in it’s infancy.

I am just using the T10 project DLL thanks to the developers for keeping it open source. Looking forward to the T10.2 I. Sure would be worth it.

• Create New Project in 2015 (then Close)
• Open in VS 2017

Missed this Issue when I started my Visual Studio 2017 issue about the templates.
Oh! well I'll just reinstall VS2015 for now (not realy got the room) and take ekgcorp's approach.

Looks like all you lose by not having the extension is the templates. To get us VS2017 users by until the next release is there an easy way to create a new project based off the template without the extension? Could we for example get the same outcome by just using one of the samples and copy/paste/rename?

Installing VS2015 just to create the template and then upgrade is a solution but something like suggested above may be easier. Anyone got any ideas?

Well, not anymore. Jerry is currently implementing T10 2.0. For whatever
reason, he isn't using a separate​ branch. As such, T10 is having a
significant amount of code churn. Currently, it doesn't work.
