Taiga-front: Possibility to move issues from one project to another

Created on 31 May 2015  路  33Comments  路  Source: taigaio/taiga-front

Sometimes an issue is accidentally added to the wrong project, e.g. when a client has multiple projects running. Would be very helpfull to have an option to move a User story with or without tasks to another project

candidate enhancement

Thank you very much @florisvanwoudenberg

We have received some more feedback about this feature so it was already added to our list of enhancements with high priority.

Regards!,

@superalex any updates on this? We would also like to use this feature.

Sorry but we have no news about it! ;)

Want to see this too. Any update yet? :)

Sorry @jonalvarezz but we have no news about it ;)

Any update about this feature?

I'm sorry but we still have no news about it!

any news? 馃槃

Any update? Looks like people wish it :)

No updates yet, sorry.

Hi there, is there any update about this improvement ? Thx !

Nop yet. And not for next release in January.

So it was added with a high priority in the middle of LAST year and it's still not anywhere near implemented?

After reading HN reviews I was very keen to get my company to try our this instead of Jira, but I don't think I'll bother, if this is indicative of how quickly priority items are actioned.

Hello @nicois you can check our repositories activity to see that in the last months we have been working really hard, including lots of new features, solving issues and adding enhancements requests from the community. We have a huge number of high priority enhancement requests and in every release we include some of them. This enhancement is important, of course, but it coexists with a lot of other and we have to choose very carefully what to include at every step of Taiga.

Hi,
I know the fronted hasn't grown support for this yet, but I was wondering if anyone had DIY'd a script to move tasks and user stories between projects?

I am imagining a recreating (read details from one, create in another, close original with message) rather than a 'true' move, but that would still be better than me typing things out :)

Anyone done it, or got any ideas which bits of taiga need to be poked at to make this work?

thanks,
kk

Hi @goetzk I have started a thread [1] about syncing userstories and issues between remote taiga instances. Perhaps this may fit your usecase?

kk Sir.

Is there any option for clearing activity log in taiga???

upvote the original issue :) Just ran into it today.

cough cough

The wait continues...

Moving issues and user stories to another project is welcome!

Still waiting for this!

My team separates version releases into projects. When we release a new version, we need to manually move all unfinished/unstarted issues from, for example, the v2 project to the v3 project.

It would be nice to at least have something to move all open issues in a closed project automatically.

EDIT: After looking into it more, I guess this is what milestones are for, not projects.

[2] Still waiting for this!

I'm also waiting for this!

The whole projects concept in Github is half baked and missing some basic features like this, no wonder Jira is popular even though it is terrible.

Any news about this feature?

I implemented a functional version to move an issue (not yet US or other models) from one project to another. It's not final. However, everybody who is interested can give it a try using

https://github.com/mjrk/taiga-front-dist/tree/5.5.5-change-project

Tested with taiga-back 5.5.5. Changes in the backend are not required. Feedback appreciated, see #2011

We have been doing some housekeeping work prior to Taiga6 upcoming release and we are reviewing old issues that we didn't correctly address back then. Taiga6 brings a significant UX/UI rework, and after the launch, we鈥檒l come back to this issue to check it again. This time we will make sure to review it properly.

Thank you very much on behalf of the Taiga Team!
