I just installed 1.7.6 (on both client and slave) which marks issue #5041 as resolved. However, I am still having this issue, consistently reproducible. Both computers are on OS X 10.11.1. If I copy from Chrome browser, I have to paste in Notepad on same computer, then re-copy before pasting on slave.
I'm getting the same issue. If anything it seems like it's gotten worse because I now have to redo it 3 times instead of 2.
For what it's worth, it also happens for Firefox browser.
Always when copying from client (Mac OSX 10.10) to host (Windows 7 x64 SP1).
Host to client is fine.
If needed, process for copying is:
SSL is off. Using ctrl+c to copy doesn't seem to affect the success rate.
edit: Extra info. I will probably test for another day or two before reverting back to an older version.
I'm also experiencing the same here. OS X 10.11 client to Windows 10 host. SSL is on.

I can't reproduce what you guys are getting above. Have tested to copy in this manner. I can reproduce it using the right click copy/paste but not using Cmd-c/Ctrl-c and Cmd-v/Ctrl-v.
Did you all test using both keyboard shortcuts and with right click menu?
The only time I can reproduce it is with the right click menu.
....also remember that Ctrl-c needs to be bound in a different way if using that on OS X.
OS X by standard keyboard still uses Cmd-c which is on windows keyboard Win-c
Maybe you can create a list of what works and what does not using template below:
Keyboard shortcuts (From Mac Client to Windows server):
Win-c (cmd-c) Ctrl-v - ????
Keyboard shortcuts (From windows to mac):
Ctrl-c Win-v (cmd-v)
Right click menu (Mac to windows):
Right click menu (Windows to Mac):
I have my Mac (client) configured with modifier keys so alt/ctrl are swapped to match the Windows ctrl+C for copying.
This bug happens for both system menu copying, right click copying and ctrl+c copying.
I've already complained about this supposed fix not being an actual fix at all in issue #2909, I hope some more effort can be done to properly fix this.

+1 - I also seem to get pretty frequent synergyd crashes when I copy something from Chrome on my Windows 7 host, and move the cursor outside it's screen area (to an OS X client).
Having the same issue using Windows 10 and Mac OS X 10.11.6 with Synergy v1.8.2.
Reproducable using the Windows PC as server and the Mac as client.

UPDATE:
Seems like not every program is affected. Reprocudable - for me - using Copy and Paste in TextEdit and Spotlight Search.
